Faced with tougher US policy, migrants in Mexico pin hopes on asylum app

Under the Covid-era order, US officials could immediately expel migrants back to Mexico, blocking them from requesting asylum. The new rules bar migrants from re-entering the country for five years if they are caught crossing illegally.
