Bengaluru: Traffic jams, water shortages, poor infra & now floods. Is India's silicon valley dying?

​​Bengaluru's residents have long complained about gridlocked traffic, water shortages, lack of infrastructure and poor urban planning but the recent massive flood has dealt a deadly blow to Bengaluru's reputation. Bengaluru's untrammelled expansion led to encroachment of wetlands and flood-plains. Concrete replaced green spaces, limiting the city's capacity to absorb water.
