There are many talented actors who never won an Oscar or an Emmy. It’s just part of the usual rat race. And let’s be honest, most of these award shows are popularity contents and politically motivated stunts. They rarely showcase the best cinema has to offer. That doesn’t mean cinephiles don’t tune in whenever the Oscars or the Emmys air. We all want to know who the Academy picked each year. It’s like our Superbowl with many lame jokes.
