July 24 marked the 38th death anniversary of one of the most iconic actors of Bengali cinema, Uttam Kumar, fondly called Mahanayak (star of stars). The actor swept millions off their feet with his grand screen presence, divine smile and deep resonant voice. Uttam Kumar was not only a versatile actor, but also a competent singer, composer, producer, and filmmaker.
