This development was showcased in Germany's industrial Home Fair, where workers used AI-equipped virtual assistants to operate robots. HPE has partnered with German start-up Aleph Alpha to offer an AI programme that communicates with factory teams to detect machine issues or check correct installation, potentially reducing the gap caused by the 58% shortfall of skilled labour in Germany's manufacturing sector.
